Just Us Girls Challenge #782 Summer Dies Week

Welcome back to our Just Us Girls Challenge #782! This is Carol Mc and I am your hostess this week. It is Die Week and as our graphic states, we are specifically looking for you to use dies that cut things related to summer. This includes summery stamped images with matching dies.

Examples of summer die cuts: A sailboat, sun, sunglasses, seagulls, sea creatures, flamingos, lighthouse, pool/pool floats, beach, beach ball, beach tote, flip flops, ocean waves, ice cream cones, summer drinks or fruits, lemonade stand, watermelon, palm trees, bicycles, vacation items, suitcase/travel items, baseball, etc.

The team and our new guest designer for July, Donna Mikasa, have some fun cards for your inspiration! Let's have a look.

Winner of the Week #781 - Stencil Challenge

We had 39 entries in our stencil challenge this week at Just Us Girls and there were some fabulous cards.  I applaud you all for sharing them with us.  That said, it makes it more difficult to pick just one winner and I went back and forth over my favorites until I finally settled on this card.

Congratulations, Jaydee!  You are our Winner of the Week.  Please take your winner's badge from our side bar.

The layered colors on Jaydee's berries and leaves added beautiful dimension, while the Chevron stencil provided a soft, grounding background that tied everything together.

There were a few other cards that caught my attention and I'd like to give a shout out to the following by order of entry.

Michele’s stunning blooms really stand out against the playful, graphic stenciled background.

Linda's  beautifully stenciled flower stands out against a soft blue background, with a hint of brick wall stenciling along the side adding subtle texture.

Karen's graphic stencil design in blue, green, and yellow is beautifully accented with gold embellishments for a bold and vibrant look.

Please come back in an hour when Carol Mc hosts Die Week.
