Just Us Girls #77 Chic of the Week

Hello JUGs fans!  I want to thank our 11 brave zipper flower challengers for participating this week!  I thought every flower was so pretty and unique to it's maker.  I applaud you all for throwing caution to the wind this past week.  Yay you!

My chic of the week pick for the zipper flower challenge is.......

the super cute card made by Sylvia of Little Treasures!  Sylvia, please email me at paperdaydream at aol dot com for your blog badge!  Sylvia caught my eye with her gorgeous beige (who knew?!) zipper flower!  I loved it's chic and vintage feel...a perfect match for the wonderful seamstress details on the rest of her card.  I was *smitten* I was powerless! I mean did you SEE that teeny tiny spool of pink thread?  Just wonderful.  Whoever receives this beautiful card one day is going to be one lucky gal!

Just Us Girls #77 3D challenge...it's all about the zipper flowers, baby!

Hello Just Us Girls fans! We are here to share a fun 3-D technique this week...zipper flowers!

We challenge you to make a flower out of a zipper and use it on your project. If you are looking for an easy tutorial, here's one that I wrote over at Want2Scrap, click here. This is just one type of flower you can make out of a zipper. For the challenge you can construct any type of zipper flower that you fancy....the sky is the limit!

Just Us Girls #76 - Color Challenge

Hello JUGs fans! Lisa here with this week's challenge from Just Us Girls. We have a sponsor this week...one near and dear to my heart.

Chic of the Week #73

A big thank you goes out to our participants this week. I was tickled to see the beautiful envelope boxes! I hope that if you did not get a chance to play along that you will remember this technique or template when you next make a "bulky" card. It's a perfect and really easy little template to serve up your hand made beauties.
