Just Us Girls #208 - Inspiration Picture

Hello, lovely friends of Just Us Girls!  It's your old pal, Elise,

 saddling up in hostess position: I am gushing with fall goodness,

as it is one FABULOUS honor for me to share with you, these snapshots

of inspiration that are personal favorites {and possibly future paintings!}

for yours truly.  I hope you are in the mood for some sparkly autumn crafting, 

as THIS outstanding team has done, for your pleasure.  I am DELIGHTED

and very sad, at the same time, since this is to be my last time hostessing, 

in the official capacity of "Jughead." *Sniff Sniff* 

I love these girls. I love THIS challenge.  I love the output that gets shared,

and the spirit of our regulars and enthusiastic newcomers, because THIS is

the grandest place for inspiration, learning and fellowship, ever!  I have enjoyed

my time here, tremendously!  Behind the scenes, I am using up all the tissue in

the place, because leaving {before I'm kicked out!} is not my forte. LOL

So, this is me, being a "grown up".  I'm elbow deep in a full load of Adobe

classes at my local junior college...{So if you heard me cursing... SORRY!}

And once that is absorbed, I'm "self employed" in the fine art capacity!  That's

right - PAINTER GIRL is going to be infiltrating my blog, so I hope you'll 

visit me every now and again.  I specialize in animal portraiture, but also love

landscape, floral and just painting from NATURE!  ...  ALSO, I'm NEVER 

giving up stamping {EVER!} and my love of the paper craft world, 

so don't cry for me, Argentina...  It's ALL good!  

And SPEAKING of good!  Get READY for some pumkin spice!

Chic of the Week #207

My goodness, you girls made it so difficult this week to choose just ONE winner!  There were so many great entries as well as entries for our DT search.  Those will be announced later in the week. 

 

I chose this card by LeAnne because I was so amazed with all the texture and layers and little touches she added to it.  You really need to stop by her blog and read about all she did to put this little beauty together.   And this snowman just made me smile!

So I just cannot sign off without mentioning some of the other amazing cards I saw this week.

 

Hannelie made the most colorful fall card with her beautiful stripes.

 

Sharyn's card was neatly tied up with a beautiful bow.

 

Jen had me drooling with her beautiful leaves and squares.

 

Nuria made the most interesting flower vases and very pretty banner.

 

Stempelomi created the prettiest tile on her card.

Just Us Girls #207 - Color Challenge

Hi everyone!  Before I announce this week's challenge, we have some exciting news to share.

DESIGN TEAM SEARCH INFORMATION

We are in our second week of searching for new design team members so if you want to try out, join our challenge and put DT next to your name so we know you are interested. If you entered last week, you can enter again this week!  The more of your creations we see the better!   Here are the details required to be a JUGs design team member.

Chic of the Week #204

Hello Just Us Girls Fans.  Thanks to all who played last week!!  Loved seeing all the distressing on your cards and your fabulous creations.

This week our CHIC OF THE WEEK is Grozek with this stunning card!   I loved the neutral pallet she used and the distressing on the background panel was simply amazing!

Here is a close up of the distressing and details on her card.

Some honorable mentions I just had to include are as follows:

Macarena -  lovely distressed edges, shabby roses and a gorgeous background paper  
Ann Marie - a superbly coloured image and lovely sponging  
Linka - rolled a piece of paper on her card and created a fabulous floral display 
Tracy - stunning colouring of her image and lovely sponging, and distressed edges.
