It's time for our Trend Week and I have been seeing a lot of  galaxy backgrounds/night sky creations lately; so that is what I chose to challenge everyone to try.  Here is a link to Jennifer McGuire's tutorial using Distress Oxide Inks.  Another version on Splitcoaststampers using watercolors.  The Design Team has done an amazing job with this Trend to provide inspiration!   I can't wait to see all of your beautiful starry night skies!

Just Us Girls Challenge - Chic of the Week #422

Oh that was so fun seeing all your entries for our first 2018 challenge!  Thank you all for joining in~  As hard as it was to choose, I did it.

The Chic of the Week for #422 is.................. Bonnie Garby!  I loved the layering she had on her card, and that bow~ total perfection. That said, I was also impressed by was her photography!  Bonnie achieved such amazing clarity, that I want her to tell me what she did! :)  I would love my cards to be that clear.  It is a WOW card in my mind.

Just Us Girls #422 - WORD Week

WELCOME BACK to the Just Us Girls Challenge! The Team is all refreshed from spending time with family and friends, and ready to go. With this challenge word, I hope you are too!

Before I get to the word and graphic for this challenge, I want to WELCOME our newest design team member.  I'm sure you have all seen her on social media, and maybe you even follow her crazy full blog!  The girl is so busy, but she accepted our offer to join the team. Here is a little bit about "c";

Hello, I’m Carol (aka *~c*), waving from my small town at the edge of the scenic Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada. My card-making journey began when I decided to make and send Happy *Month Old* cards to my niece, who was 2 ½ at the time. She’s now 6, my nephew is 4 - and yes, the monthly card ‘tradition’ continues. The ‘epic messes’ of my first attempts sent me searching the internet for ideas and WOW! Did I find them! The discoveries revealed sparked a passion, and here I am, thoroughly immersed in playing with paper, stamps, dies and ink. Of course, the friendships made through this warm, encouraging community are treasured immensely. I’m truly honoured and delighted to be joining the Just Us Girls team; talk about a dream come true!  THANK YOU for this amazing opportunity!
