Just Us Girls Technique Challenge #245

It's Sue V. again with another technique challenge.  Watercoloring seems to be everywhere in the cardmaking world in many different forms, so we are going to have some fun with watercolor stamping - ink your stamp with dye or Distress Ink then mist the stamp and stamp onto the cardstock. For an even softer look, stamp off on scrap paper first, then stamp onto your card stock.

Sharyn here with this week's Technique Challenge!  This time we are doing a Weathered Wood background.  I am adding a link for a video, if you have not tried this before.  It really is a very easy technique to do.  The video shows it done in browns, but I have changed mine up a little and used Springy colors.  Be creative and have fun with it!

Just Us Girls - Technique Challenge #227

It's Sue V and it's my turn to host this week's technique challenge.
I came across this new to me technique - Inked Die Cuts by Becca at Amazing Paper Grace.  Follow the link for a tutorial.  It's a very messy technique, but I am glad I tried it and really like the results.  It looks like many, many layers.  It did take me 4 tries before I got the hang of it!  If you just can't get the hang of it, I am offering an alternate technique, to sponge ink on the die cut while it is still in the die to shade around your image or sentiment and give you a clean white/light border
