Just Us Girls Week 4 ... 3-D/Template Challenge

Welcome to the 4th challenge presented by "Just Us Girls"!

All of us here at the Just Us Girls challenge site are very excited & thankful to see so many returning players, as well as new players this week! We would love to keep that creative energy in motion so this week we are presenting you with a 3 Dimensional challenge! We would like to see you add a 3-D flower to your project!

JUGS4

If you would like to learn how to make a Tissue Paper flower, we've provided a how to / video tutorial right here:

So make your 3-D flower using ANY technique of your choice, attach it to your project. Let the fun begin!

How to play: You need to upload your project using this week's challenge to your online blog or public photo gallery. Leave a link that goes directly to your project in the Mr. Linky form at the end of this post. If you upload to online galleries, please also use the keyword or tag, JUGS4. After you post to Mr. Linky please leave a comment on this post.

Deadline to be considered for our weekly top pick called "Chic of the Week" is 9:00 PM EST on Thursday, October 29. All entries need to be posted to Mr. Linky by that time. "Chic of the Week" will be announced on the Just Us Girls blog post on Friday morning following the deadline. (You may still post to Mr. Linky after the deadline, your project just won't be considered for our "Chic of the Week" top pick.)

And now, "Just Us Girls" presents a little inspiration to get you started!

Love the flower and can't wait to try it! First I have to go out and buy all the supplies. And I'll be out of town visiting my parents all week so I can't play along but in the future.....! I just LOVE the JUGS blog! You girls ROCK!

Ladies, you've come up with an innovative and fun challenge this week and I had fun playing along! Thanks for the beautiful samples and thanks to Mona for a great video tutorial!!

I have NO ZIP ZERO tissue paper in my house - What is that! So, I did the crumpled dp flower trick ~ I have never done before either ~ Hope that works! Thanks girls for another wonderful challenge!!

Carla S. said...

Thanks for another fun challenge, ladies! Great tutorial, Mona! I made one of your tissue paper flowers for my card. All your samples are beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration!

Gloria Westerman said...

At this time I do not have a die cutting machine (will soon) so I will have to use another method. Mona did a great job teaching us how to. Now off to my craft room.

Kristin Eberline said...

Oh Gloria!! We probably should have mentioned that paper punches work also! If it's too hard to punch cleanly through the tissue paper, try cutting a thin piece of cardstock with it! Hopefully you have a punch ;] Oooh...or you could cut your circles freehand and make the lines kind of wavy to give it that vintage feel. Ideas are just a-flowin' now!! LOL

Thanks to all our players so far and to those who commented and are coming back with their creations - I'm SO impressed with all of our players and DT girls - YOU ROCK. Totally fabulousness from all of you. Pat yourselves on the back :-)

Thanks so much for the tutorial. I am a totally VISUAL person. I didn't have the supplies needed so I did my first ever 3d Dimensional using another method and I guess it looks like a flower, ha ha ha! I tried!

Mona - I finally purchased the die and made the flower. Surprisingly it turned out beautiful. I try so many things that do not work for me and I get really disappointed, but this is great. Thanks for sharing this with all of us.
