Just Us Girls Week 5 - Wild Card Challenge

Welcome to the 5th challenge presented by "Just Us Girls"!

Are you ready to get WILD for our challenge?! I sure hope so because we are officially hosting our 5th challenge this month...which means it's time for a WILD CARD! Okay, so maybe it's not that "wild" but it's going to be fun!

This week we challenge you to create a holiday card designed to present a photo! It can be any photo you choose whether it be family, pets, nature...it's your choice! The possibilities are endless!!

The idea for this challenge originally came from Alicia. I LOVED the concept so I asked her if I could use it for today's challenge, and thankfully, she agreed :) You don't HAVE to print a photo, or dig through a photo box or album to find that perfect shot in order to play along. You can pull your photo from a magazine if you want! We're just looking for some fab ideas for holiday cards designed to showcase a photo. If you want to use the black and white family pictures that are provided with new frames, go for it! LOL

With all of the diverse creativity you've shown us, I'm confident you will teach us a few things again this week! We learned sooo many different ways to create 3-D flowers last week, let's keep school in session for another!

We are truly amazed and humbled that so many fabulous designers are enjoying our challenges in the infancy of our blog! Thank YOU for supporting the JUGS (hee hee) and helping us to stay FRESH, FUN and always...CHIC!

How to play: Upload your project using this week's challenge to your online blog or public photo gallery. Leave a link that goes directly to your project in the Mr. Linky form at the end of this post. If you upload to online galleries, please also use the keyword or tag, JUGS5. After you post to Mr. Linky please leave a comment on this post.

Deadline to be considered for our weekly top pick called "Chic of the Week" is 9:00 PM EST on Thursday, November 5. All entries need to be posted to Mr. Linky by that time. "Chic of the Week" will be announced on the Just Us Girls blog post on Friday morning following the deadline. (You may still post to Mr. Linky after the deadline, your project just won't be considered for our "Chic of the Week" top pick.)

And now, "Just Us Girls" presents a little inspiration to get you started!

 Our Guest Designer

EVERY participant is a WINNER this week!!! Just in case you missed that little tidbit in the challenge graphic above ;] If you play along this week and enter before the deadline, you will receive the "Happy Holidays" digital stamp and sentiment set shown in the challenge graphic. I created the lamp post and the two sentiments that use different fonts, and the amazingly gifted Tammy Hershberger wrote the title sentiment "Happy Holidays"!! Isn't her writing just PERFECT for papercrafting?! I wish I could market it!!

Special thanks to Chris Barr for helping me to digitize the lamp post!! He is an INCREDIBLY TALENTED Graphic Designer ;] ...without a blog, otherwise I would link him :[

After you play along and post your card in Mr. Linky before the deadline, email Just Us Girls and provide your email address and another link to your photo. One of us will respond with the digital Happy Holidays package just for you!

If you are not familiar with using digital stamps, check out the Pink Cat Studio Digi tutorials...they're perfect for newbies :O)

Okay, time for YOU to get started! Can't wait to see what you come up with :)

Well, I chose a different Holiday for my photo card, but I hope you like it. And Tammy's handwriting is great, I agree.

Great challenge, ladies! The digi stamps and sentiment are awesome! Thanks for the chance to receive them for playing along! Your samples are beautiful! I linked up my card for the challenge. I hope it still counts even though I didn't actually put the photo in the frame! It was intended as a photo frame but I couldn't find a photo I liked on short notice so I stamped in a sentiment as a placeholder for now.
Have a great weekend!

Omg, I linked my card and came back to this post only to read that the project should have a holiday theme! I swear I haven't seen this first time I read the requirements... *sigh*
Well, ignore my entry if you wish ladies, but thank you for this great challenge, I might be back with something more appropriate later lol!

I didn't think when I made this card that i would have to post it twice. I'm so sorry. But I didn't feel that the picture should be on the front.
Thank you

This was a fun challenge! I posted for two challenges, your challenge is the 2nd one and this was really fun!! I didn't put a photo inside because of the window. Now the picture has to be pretty specific to appear through the window properly.
