Hi Everyone! This challenge marks the 6 month Anniversary of the JUGS challenge site! Thank you all for your support & participation! Chic of the Week #25

May I say WOW in capital letters! I was so amazed by all the beautiful cards made with these great Spring colors! I saw some amazing Spring images (and so many cute bunnies!)! I must say it took me at least an hour to decide on which card/designer I wanted for the Chic of the Week...not an easy task!!

In the end, I chose this lovely card by Katt.

This card best used the challenge colors in the way I had imagined. I really wanted to focus on the "light" part of the colors (as in the color inspiration picture), and this one did just that. So Katt, I'll be sending you the JUGs Chic of the Week badge! Congratulations!

Now I would be remiss if I didn't give some kudos to a few of the other 90+ entries this week.

Sharon's (#10) House Mouse card was so very pretty with the beautiful lace and lovely bow.
Kim (#11) created the prettiest Easter Egg wreath with a variety of punches.
Smilynstef (#57) used lace in a really cool way on the bottom of her card. It looks like hula skirt to me!
Peggy's (#16) adorable shabby bunny made me smile from ear to ear!
Arielle's (#74) sweet image with the little girl and bunny really caught my eye with her fab layout and beautiful coloring.
And last, but not least, Anne's (#76) cute girl with her Easter bonnet had me singing that Easter song all evening!

Just Us Girls - Color Challenge #25

Happy Spring everyone! Today is the first day of Spring, and the Just Us Girls team has some Spring colors to challenge you with today.I found this picture in the Pottery Barn Kids website and it was just what I was looking for for inspirational colors. You do not have to make an Easter card or a card with a bunny for this challenge. We are only looking for your creations to include these colors. I can't wait to see what you do with them! Chic of the Week #24!

Happy Friday! To ALL the girls who played along with this week's Just Us Girls Template Challenge, I say thank you, merci, danke, gracias! It means so much to all of "Us Girls" that you come - and you play! We hope that means that you are having fun and that you are inspired!!! I was tickled with all the entries this week. However, I've been all in a flap over how to select a Chic of the Week. Seriously - this part is the really hard part - I've seen every entry - more than once. However, I kept coming back to this one again and again - it just really caught my eye - so this week's Chic of the Week award goes to.... Andrea M!!! Here is her lovely card:

There are so many lovely details on this card. It is crisp and fresh and stunning! The stitching is divine - (I am SO jealous), the colors are regal, the punched and scalloped edges are fun and fresh and I really loved the inside as well. All in a Flap - Jugs #24 Technique Challenge

Hey girlies (and guys, too, if you are out there - please let us know)! Time for another technique challenge with Just Us Girls. Are you ready for another fun one? We had some awesome sketches last week - WOW. Ok this week...

This week we're going to challenge you with a card technique that's been around for awhile. We want you to make a "Flap Card". Here's a tutorial from SCS if you don't know the technique. These can open from the top or the side or even the bottom.

Chic of the Week #23 and Wplus9 blog candy winner!

Wow, Just Us Girls sketch challengers!  You blew us away with 84, count 'em, 84 entries in the sketch challenge this week!  Now I know sketches are fun, but, I have a feeling that the chance for blog candy from Dawn at Wplus9 Design Studio has a little something to do with it too! ;)  One more HUGE thank you to Dawn for offering up such a wonderful prize to one of our challenge participants! 

First off,  I want to say it was extremely difficult to chose just one Chic of the Week.  So many wonderful cards caught my eye but in the end it was THIS card by Tina (entry #41) that set my heart a flutter!
