Chic of the Week #47

Wow! I had a difficult time choosing from among several entries this week! So many pretty interpretations of my hot pink, teal and lime green color palette. But in the end, I had to go with this card by Tangii Crain.
I really loved how she made the challenge colors her focal point of the card. I just kept coming back to look at this lovely card and had to make it the Chic of the Week card! Congratulations, Tangii! You can contact me to get your Chic of the Week badge!

Now what were the other cards that made me go "Oooooh"?

Monique's "Winter Welcome" card was so pretty using these non-traditional holiday colors.

Amy's "Remember This" card used the most amazing patterned paper that included the challenge colors. I also loved the ribbon embellishments in the middle.

Janine's card looked like a trellis with flowers climbing up it. So pretty.

Pattie's card was just so feminine and girly. Her image was just so cute!

Jenn's card was another holiday card that looked so pretty with these colors. Loved the stitching she did on the perimeter as well.

Chic of the Week #46 and Winner!

Yee Haw and How Do! Well y'all did not disappoint with our Wild Wild West challenge - we had some mighty powerful entries this week and y'all made it tough on us to choose our Chic of the Week (but then y'all 've been doin' that to us for a while now here on the Jest us Girls site). SO after much hemmin', hawin', fence-post sittin' and blog gawkin' a decision was finally made.

This week's Chic of the Week goes to the creator of this beauty, Cheryl Rowley! Just love her Tilda cowgirl and the matching gift box with the cactus. Wonderful embellishment and fabulous DP to pull it all together.

Oh yeah - y'all remembered that we had the lovely Miss Theresa Momber with us as a SPECIAL guest and she was donatin' a fun and wild stamp set she designed for Gina K Designs called Out West. Well we drew one lucky number from our 37 participants and came up with lucky #23 --- and that belongs to none other than CAMMY - come on down Cammy and send us and email with your mailing info so we can send you your stamp set. Congratulations.

JUGS and the Wild Wild West

Howdy Pardners...

It's A Just Us Girls Saturday and today is technically a "technique" day - but we're going with a THEME this week. One of our DT members, Alicia, is organizing a charity rodeo in memory of her son, Ethan. All proceeds will go for neuroblastoma research. Here's the link to the rodeo website. The JUGS decided that in support of Alicia and her efforts with the rodeo we want y'all to create a card with a WILD WILD WEST theme! How fun is that? Alicia we wish you well and tip our (cowboy) hats to you ma'am!

We have a couple of nice surprises too - we are THRILLED to have a special Guest Designer joining us for this challenge. We'd like y'all to offer a warm JUGS welcome to Theresa Momber (from Gina K Designs). If y'all don't know, Theresa is one of Gina K's stamp illustrators and she designed a wonderful stamp set about a year ago called Out West. She will also be donating one of her wonderful Out West stamp sets to one lucky winner (random draw) who participates in the JUGS challenge this week. (Thank you Theresa for your generous blog candy!!)

Good Morning Ladies!
I just have to say that I had a blast hosting my first challenge here at Just Us Girls!  It was such fun seeing how everyone interpreted the sketch.  You are all winners in my book but only one can be Chic of the week and that honor goes to Melissa C.  I just kept wanting to go back and look at this card!  I just love all the details and time Melissa put into this card!  It has such a welcome home feeling to it.  Congratulations Melissa I will be contacting you with your Chic of the Week badge.

Chic of the Week #44

It looks like everyone enjoyed our Wild Wedding challenge! I just saw this picture on Pam's blog of the bride and groom and thought you'd like to see who we have been celebrating all week.What a lovely couple! You can see more pics on Pam's blog...Pam looked beautiful as well!.

On to the Chic of the Week. I had so many to choose from this week, but in the end I went with this beauty from Carla.I just loved this card when I first saw it and kept coming back to it! Lenet's card was a shabby chic style and I just loved the soft colors.

Patti used the prettiest ribbons, patterns, and pop of green color on her card.

Juls used a beautiful song as her inspiration for her gorgeous card.

Monique created a simply adorable card based on a country theme.

JUGS #44 - Wild Wedding

Hi everyone! We have a special challenge this week. Since it's the 5th week in the month, it's a wild card week which means I get to choose the challenge! We were going to take the week off, but decided to go ahead with this one. The daughter of our DT member, Pam, is getting married today, so we decided to have the challenge be to make a wedding card! Here is a picture of Pam and her beautiful daughter Deanna (we don't have a wedding photo yet).
Also, today is the last challenge for our uber talented Guest Designer for July, Debbie Marcinkiewicz. She has knocked our socks off with her fabulous shabby creations and we want to send out a big thank you to Debbie for participating!
